I couldn't help but smile as I read out loud, many of the experiences Peggy Iris Thomas relates in her book (also known as "A Ride in the Sun). She writes of her 1951 motorcycle trip in Canada, the US and Mexico as if it was quite the normal thing for a 26 year-old woman to do. That she also rode with a full-sized Airedale dog on the back of her little BSA Bantam makes this journey even more endearing!                                                       Available on Audible now.​
]]><![CDATA[A new BULLET!]]>Sat, 21 Oct 2023 16:20:27 GMThttp://www.jacquifurneaux.com/news--media/a-new-royal-enfield-bulletTwenty-three years after I bought my Bullet there, I returned to Chennai, INDIA to take part in the celebrations during the launch of the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350. 
There were factory visits, presentations, a pop-up museum and demonstrations of the painting of famous gold stripes on the fuel tank. Gordon May, Royal Enfield's brand historian, informed and entertained us with the history of the overwhelmingly popular Bullet from its inception in 1932 to the present day. We saw new Bullets rolling off the production line and I was very fortunate indeed to be able to ride one. Actually, I had a five-day test ride all over Tamil Nadu!
